Sheepmeat Council of Australia has rejected the Government's carbon tax because it risks the sustainability of the sheepmeat industry. Independent research released by Sheepmeat Council of Australia and the National Farmers' Federation (NFF) shows that sheepmeat producers in Australia will endure a 16 percent loss in business revenue under the carbon tax.
